Darrelle Revis is bringing it back to the Broadway Joe era for Sports Illustrated's latest cover.
The Jets cornerback will appear on the cover of SI's upcoming edition. If the cover looks familiar to longtime readers, it should: Revis recreated Joe Namath's iconic pose from SI's "Football Goes Show Biz" cover on the July 19, 1965, issue.
It's not the only throwback in the latest edition of the magazine. Revis also recreated Namath's famous poolside photo, with a cameo by Namath himself.
Revis signed a five-year, $70-million contract (of which $39 million is guaranteed) this offseason with the Jets, reuniting the star cornerback with the team that drafted him 14th overall in 2007. Revis spent six years with the Jets before being traded to the Buccaneers in 2013 after tearing his ACL. He signed with the Patriots in 2014 and won a Super Bowl.
