FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Darrelle Revis is day-to-day. And that's all he knows.
The Jets cornerback wouldn't venture to guess if he'll be able to play Sunday against the Eagles or if his groin injury will force him to be a spectator.
"We'll see,'' Revis said Thursday. "I'm day-to-day and we're taking it one day at a time and we'll go from there.''
Providing few details about the injury -- such as how and when it happened -- Revis said only that he suffered a groin strain during the Monday night win over the Colts.
"It was a play in the game. I don't know what time or what quarter,'' said Revis, who was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after recovering two fumbles and intercepting a pass to lead the Jets to a 20-7 victory.
"It's just a strain. It's not getting any worse, it's getting better. We'll see how it pans out, how it goes with practice, and then we'll see what happens Sunday.''
Revis' status became big news Wednesday afternoon after he was a surprise addition to the injury report. Coach Todd Bowles said Thursday that he doesn't believe Revis' injury is serious, adding that he didn't have an MRI. But while Bowles said he's hopeful that he'll have Revis against the Eagles (0-2), he acknowledged the significance of his potential absence.
"He's a playmaker and a heck of a player,'' Bowles said. "Any time you lose a heck of a player, you're not going to be the same.''
Bowles also has faith in the rest of his secondary. "We have a bunch of guys who can go out there and play,'' he said, "so I'm confident that they'll go out there and perform.''
Revis, who did not practice Wednesday, didn't give any details about how much he was able to do Thursday.
"I did what I was required to do: go out there and move around a little bit,'' he said, adding that he's not sure if he can push himself to play without being 100 percent. "I never had this type of injury, so I'm listening. I'm listening to the training staff and listening to coaches and just following procedures.''
Asked if his groin injury affected him Monday, Revis laughed and said: "I don't know. You saw the game, right?''
The Jets (2-0) also could be without running back Chris Ivory (quadriceps) and receiver Eric Decker (knee), both of whom did not practice Thursday. Like Revis, both wouldn't say for certain that they'll play.
