Just as we expected, safety James Ihedigbo is out for Sunday's tilt with the Dolphins at New Meadowlands Stadium.
Ihedigbo's high right ankle sprain is getting better, but not sufficiently enough for him to make it back merely six days after going down against the Patriots. Rex Ryan didn't rule out the possibility Ihedigbo could make it back for the Jets' contest against the Steelers in Pittsburgh a week from Sunday.
"He's tough and he's here all the time, so he's getting a ton of treatment," Ryan said. "He may be out there next week. You never know with that guy. It's an injury that should takle longer, with a high ankle sprain. But with him, I wouldn't be surprised if he's out there sooner."
Damien Woody didn't practice again and is listed as questionable. But barring some sort of last-minute setback, Woody will be out there come Sunday just as he has the previous two games despite not practicing in the days leading up to each.
"We've kind of run that course the last two weeks and I think it's similar, might be a little worse than those two weeks," Ryan said. "So, we'll see what happens."
Woody's teammates apparently had a little fun with the right tackle. Someone changed the nameplate above his locker to Waldo, as in "Where's Waldo?"
Those who are probable for Sunday: DE Shaun Ellis (knee), LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson (shoulder), WR Santonio Holmes (back), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), DL Sione Pouha (ankle) and WR Brad Smith (hand).
