Braylon Edwards was involved in a minor one car accident in suburban Detroit early Friday.

"Got into a fender bender last night, turns out Audi's & rain don't mix to well," Edwards tweeted Friday afternoon. "I'm good, thanks for all the prayers & concern."

According to reports, the free agent wide receiver was driving his two-seat 2011 Audi with an unidentified passenger on Belle Isle at about 3:40 a.m. when he lost control, driving off the road and into a pylon. No one was injured, no tickets were issued and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.

Edwards, who repeatedly has said he'd like to re-sign with the Jets, is still facing trial stemming from DWI charges for his Sept. 21 arrest. Police said a Breathalyzer test found Edwards to have a blood alcohol level of .16 -- twice the legal limit -- when he was pulled over that night.

He's scheduled for a pretrial hearing July 22, the latest date in a case that's been adjourned three times previously for the defense to file a series of motions.
