Still don't know how I made it here, but we come to you live from The Hangar where the players have already done their talking and we're waiting for Rex Ryan to give us his season-ending address.
Quick bit of news that happened when I was making the crazy trip from Indianapolis back here to the water logged metropolitan area.
DE Shaun Ellis was named to the Pro Bowl, replacing Colts DE Robert Mathis. Ellis, who played with a broken left hand yesterday, was second on the team in sacks with 6.5, trailing only LB Calvin Pace's eight.
Call it a consolation prize of sorts for Ellis after the Jets weren't able to upend the Colts in yesterday's AFC Championship game. He was expected to have surgery on his hand this week, but we'll see if he'll hold off now that he's been selected to his second Pro Bowl.
Ellis initially earned Pro Bowl status in 2003, when he finished third in the AFC in sacks with 12.5, becoming just the 12th player in franchise history to register double digit sacks. His selection gives the AFC runner up Jets five players in Sunday's Pro Bowl, which will take place at Dolphins, er, Pro Player, er, Joe Robbie, er, Land Shark, er, Sun Life Stadium and serve as a precursor to Super Bowl XLIV in Miami between the Colts and Saints.
He'll join LG Alan Faneca, C Nick Mangold, LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson and CB Darrelle Revis.
