FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Zach Wilson was limited in practice Wednesday due to an ankle issue.

Wilson wasn’t on the field or throwing with the rest of the quarterbacks at the start of practice Wednesday. The Jets said he was warming up in a training room. Wilson was moving around well and throwing to teammates at the end of practice.

Robert Saleh initially said Wilson has some “nicks and bruises,” before revealing it was his ankle and he wasn’t concerned.

“Shoot, it’s football,” Saleh said. “Dealing with an ankle, but he’s fine.”

Wilson missed the first three games following arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. He made his season debut Sunday, leading the Jets to a 24-20 win over the Steelers. Wilson led two fourth-quarter touchdown drives.

Saleh was impressed with Wilson’s “resolve” and how “fearless” he played in the fourth quarter

Brown, Curry return

Left tackle Duane Brown (shoulder) and defensive lineman Vinny Curry (hamstring) returned to practice, opening the 21-day window for the Jets to activate them.

Saleh said couldn’t say whether either would play Miami on Sunday. More would be known after Thursday’s padded practice.

The Jets could use a healthy body on the offensive line.

Brown was supposed to be the starting left tackle, but he suffered a shoulder injury in practice the week before the opener. Brown said surgery was “an option” but he wanted to be able to play. He said he feels “strong” and Wednesday’s practice “was a really good step in the right direction.”

Tackle has been a revolving door for the Jets.

George Fant (knee) and Mekhi Becton (knee) are on injured reserve and right tackle Max Mitchell was carted off Sunday with a knee injury. Saleh said Mitchell probably is out this week.

The Jets surprisingly slid Alijah Vera-Tucker from right guard to left tackle against Pittsburgh. Saleh wouldn’t reveal his tackles for this week.

“I’m going to hold that until Sunday,” he said.

Hall limited

Rookie running Breece Hall was limited with a knee issue. Hall’s 2-yard touchdown run was the game-winner Sunday.

“Typical, just little nicks and bruises,” Saleh said. “But there’s nothing to worry about.”

Two-minute drill

Linebacker Quincy Williams (ankle) did not practice. He’s doubtful to play Sunday.
