The Jets are down another draft pick.

The Jaguars raided Rex Ryan's practice squad Tuesday, snatching up rookie linebacker Jeremiah George. The fifth-round pick announced the news via Twitter.

"First and foremost I want to start by saying thank you to the @nyjets for drafting me and bringing me into a first class organization," George tweeted from his verified @JGeorge52 account.

"But I am very pleased to say I am now a JACKSONVILLE JAGUAR!"

The Jets released George Sept. 1 to make room for receiver Walter Powell, whom they claimed off waivers. But George (5-11, 234 pounds) and fellow rookie draft pick Quincy Enunwa were signed to the practice squad the next day.

Jets general manager John Idzik used all 12 of his picks during the 2014 draft, but only nine remain. Six are on the active roster, while Dexter McDougle and Shaq Evans are on injured reserved. Enunwa is the only rookie pick on the practice squad.

Sixth-rounder Brandon Dixon cleared waivers and signed with Tampa Bay following his August release. Quarterback Tajh Boyd, also a sixth-rounder, signed with the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) last week.
