It's been a relatively quiet week for the Jets as they enjoy their bye.
But they made a roster move earlier today, releasing LB Kenwin Cummings. The 6-3, 230-pounder saw action in three games this season, all on special teams.
He was initially signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and was inactive for the season opener before being signed to the Jets practice squad.
Cummings spent the first nine weeks of the 2009 season on the practice squad, and was added to the 53-man roster on Nov. 16, eventually making his NFL debut on special teams in the Jets' January wild card win over the Bengals.
The Jets obviously now have an open roster spot, but have no plans on announcing a corresponding roster move today.
