The Jets have signed defensive lineman Matt Hardison to the practice squad, his agent announced via Twitter Tuesday morning.
Hardison, an undrafted free agent and Delaware product, was with the Jets training camp but did not make the final cut. He worked out with the team last week but left without a deal.
His agent, Wes Bridges, tweeted this earlier today: "Hardison on his way to Florham Park. Congrats MH!"
The Jets signed Hardison on June 22. Here is the bio that accompanied the announcement:
Hardison (6-4/285/Freehold, NJ/Delaware) participated in the Jets rookie minicamp as a tryout player on May 4-6. In two seasons at Delaware, Hardison played in 24 games, recording 29 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss. Hardison spent his first three collegiate seasons at Rutgers, but did not see game action.
