The Jets signed undrafted free agent running back Romar Morris on Tuesday and waived former Giants tight end Jerome Cunningham.

Morris (5-9, 190) was one of the 22 players who tried out during rookie minicamp. He played in 50 games (13 starts) for North Carolina, carrying the ball 213 times for 1,024 yards and 12 touchdowns. The speedy back also had 54 receptions for 499 yards and two TDs.

Earlier this month, the Jets claimed Cunningham off waivers from the Giants. The tight end caught eight passes for the Giants last season and was signed as an exclusive-rights free agent in March. He was later waived before being awarded to the Jets.
