The Jets continued upgrading their roster when they agreed to terms with center Spencer Long on Wednesday, according to a source.

Long started six games with the Redskins before being placed on injured reserve with a hip flexor on Nov. 21. Long will replace Wesley Johnson, who started 15 games for the Jets last season, is an unrestricted free agent and isn’t expected to return.

Not only did the Jets want an upgrade at the position but someone who could provide position flexibility. Long, a 2014 third-round pick from Nebraska, started 13 games at left guard in 2015 before moving to center full-time in 2016 where he started 12 games.

Also, the Jets are expected to sign running back Isaiah Crowell to a three-year deal, according to a source. Financial terms were not available.

Free agents can officially sign contracts with their new teams Wednesday at 4 p.m.
