The Jets could have stayed in the game if they made a defensive stand on third-and-14 late in the second quarter in Jacksonville territory. But they gave up a 17-yard pass play from Blake Bortles to a wide-open James O’Shaughnessy. The Jets had sacked Bortles two plays earlier and had him on the run on that play. But he converted the crushing first down. Two plays later, Bortles hooked with T.J. Yeldon on a 31-yard touchdown that made it 13-0 with 1:56 left.
