The Jets announced Saturday morning that they have waived seven players: G Terrence Campbell, LS Derek Chard, DT Matt Hardison, CB LeQuan Lewis, S Marcus Lott and WRs Dexter Jackson and Raymond Webber.

To be honest, none of these cuts came as a surprise. Webber, Chard and Campbell didn't play against the Giants last week, plus it's incredibly tough to crack the Jets D-line. Jackson showed great speed but was inconsistent and Campbell was nursing an injury during the early stages of camp.

The roster currently stands at 80, but it'll need to trimmed to 75 by 4 p.m. on Monday.
