We all know how familiar the Jets are with Randy Moss.
The three-plus seasons he spent in New England affored the Jets a chance to see him up close and personal seven times. So the Jets know what to expect.
But one thing that is worth noting is the immediate impact Moss can have on a team. Just check out his numbers anytime he joins a team a first time. He's been lethal.
In his first game for the Vikings his rookie season Moss had four catches for 95 yards and two TDS. His first game with the Raiders was even better as he snagged five passes for 130 yards and a score.
Finally, in his first game with the Patriots in 2007 he tore up the Jets, hauling in nine passes for 183 yards and a TD.
Clearly this is a different Jets defense he will be facing. But you can't deny a guy like Moss will be fired up to play well on Monday night with a new team.
By the way, for all you fantasy football people, Moss has been absolutely deadly on Monday night. In 16 Monday night games he has 16 touchdown catches.
