Incumbent Jets starting cornerback Kyle Wilson made an appearance at the 20th Annual Gridiron Gala in Manhattan and talked about Jets' first-round draft pick Dee Milliner, who will look to compete for the starting cornerback role alongside Antonio Cromartie.

On if he's been able to spend much time with Dee Milliner...

"No," Wilson said. "He just got here the past week. The rookies have to be kind of integrated with the vets, and we just had our first practice yesterday, so we're just getting to know each other, and we've had some meeting time, and its going to happen in the future."

On what his first impressions were of Milliner...

"I'm kind of just excited to see what he could do. He's kind of limited right now, but i figure he could help out the team so i look forward to getting him acclimated and getting him on the field so we can all make some plays."

On what advice he can tell Milliner about what he can expect from his experience of being a first-round draft pick...

"Just try to pay attention to things, see how things are going. But ultimately, everybody learns differently and i'm not really sure how he learns yet, so it's just going to come with time. He's just going to keep growing and growing."
