Want to step to the podium and announce the Jets' fourth-round draft pick later this month? Well, the Jets are going to give someone that opportunity.

The franchise revealed today that one lucky fan will have the chance to announce the team’s fourth-round pick during the NFL Draft, which kicks off April 28 at Radio City Music Hall. The sweepstakes begins Thursday and fans can enter to win at the team's web site, newyorkjets.com. The winner will announce the No. 126th overall selection when the pick is made April 30, the final day of the three-day event.

The Jets also plan to have a draft party and details are included below in the rest of their release:

The team also announced that it will host its annual draft party for the second consecutive year at the New Meadowlands Stadium on April 28. Admission is free and the party is open to the public. Green & White fans can watch the 2011 NFL Draft from seats in the lower level and enjoy appearances by Jets alumni and cheerleaders. Also, fans can be on the field where Jets Fest will be set up for kids and there will be great photo opportunities for all.

The party begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held on the east side of the stadium. Parking lots will open at 6:00 p.m., 1 ½ hours prior to the event. Fans will receive an exclusive 2011 Jets Draft Party T-shirt upon arrival that evening while supplies last. Jets Shop merchandise stands will be selling all the latest team gear, including the 2011 Draft Cap.

Fans can visit the team’s Facebook page and enter to win two tickets to the VIP draft party, being held the same night at the stadium. This promotion kicks off the How Would You Like To series where fans who like the team on Facebook will have the opportunity to win unique prizes and experiences throughout the year.
