Miguel Maysonet may not be a household name, but ESPN draft experts Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay think there's something special about the Stony Brook running back.

During a "Draft Lab" segment that aired on Sports Center Monday, Todd McShay labeled Maysonet his "under the radar" pick in this year's class of running backs.

"I saw him against Syracuse and he really caught my attention," McShay said of Maysonet, a runner-up for the Walter Payton Award, as Football Championship Subdivision Player of the Year.

"I mean, 5-9, 205 pounds. He runs low to the ground, runs hard. He's not a speeder, but he's got enough quickness and lateral agility. This guy wants to be the next Victor Cruz. He's Puerto Rican-born, small-school level, trying to make it as a late-round pick. Wherever he goes -- maybe undrafted, but I just like his game. I think it equates to the NFL level."

"Once in a while we agree," Kiper, Jr. responed. "Miguel Maysonet from Stony Brook is my guy. I saw him against Army. He caught my attention. Consistent year. Miguel Maysonet could be a third or fourth-round pick out of Stony Brook."

Maysonet's Pro Day is scheduled for Friday, March 22 at Stony Brook.
