Joe McKnight's hyperextended right elbow isn't good enough for him to go.

The second-year RB/KR is inactive for today's matchup with the Chiefs here at MetLife Stadium. McKnight sounded like a longshot to play all week, especially when he said Thursday that he didn't feel all that great trying to carry the ball and was waiting for his special brace to arrive.

Although McKnight is inactive, Brandon Moore is active and expected to play, just as a source had indicated to me on Friday prior to Moore addressing reporters. Moore didn't practice all week with an ailing hip, trying to get as much rest as possible so he could play today. He'll be making his 118th career start.

Besides McKnight, QB Kevin OConnell, WR Eron Riley, CB Ellis Lankster, DT Mike DeVito, T Austin Howard and DT Kenrick Ellis are also inactive.

With DeVito out, DL Ropati Pitoitua will start at end. Jamaal Westerman is expected to start at OLB in place of Garrett McIntyre.

As for the Chiefs, their inactices are: QB Kyle Orton, WR Jeremy Horne, S/CB Donald Washington, OL David Mims, TE Jake O'Connell, DL Brandon Bair and DL Jerrell Powe.
