Just as he promised during then past week of practice, Jets right tackle Damien Woody returns to the starting lineup for tonight's first-round playoff game against Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. Woody missed the final three games of the regular season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
Although safety Eric Smith is active after sitting out three games with a concussion, he is not in the starting lineup. Dwight Lowery starts at safety next to Brodney Pool. Those two figure to be prime targets to be tested early by Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
The jets' inactive list includes RB Joe McKnight, CB Isaiah Trufant, De Vernon Gholston, OL Vladimir Ducasse, DT Jarron Gilbert, TE Jeff Cumberland and DT Marcus Dixon. Kellen Clemens is the third QB.
Tonight's game captains for the Jets are DE Shaun Ellis, who is playing in his Jets record ninth playoff game, CB Darrelle Revis, OG Brandon Moore, TE Ben Hartsock, P Steve Weatherford and TE Dustin Keller, and Indiana native who played at Purdue.
