The Jets reportedly have already interviewed Green Bay executive Russ Ball, according to ProFootballTalk.

Citing a league source, the web site asserts Ball, the Packers' football administration/player finance, "quietly" has interviewed for the Jets' vacant GM job. The Jets had interest in fellow Packers exec John Dorsey. But Green Bay's director of football operations is expected to be named the Chiefs GM.

Before joining the Packers in 2008, Ball worked for the Saints, Redskins, Vikings, and Chiefs.

Ball is the latest name to surface in the Jets' GM search. Most recently, Jim Popp, John Idzik, Omar Khan and Jerry Angelo were linked to the Jets, in addition to Brian Gaine, Jimmy Raye III, Marc Ross, Scott Cohen and Tom Gamble.
