Joe McKnight's transformation has begun.

The running back sported a green defensive jersey Wednesday and practice with the rest of the Jets defensive backs.

Hopefully, McKnight will be in the locker room this afternoon so we can hear how he fared on his first day as a cornerback. My colleague Stephen Haynes said he saw practice squadder Royce Pollard burn McKnight on a nice stutter-step move as the media was walking off the practice field.

LB Bart Scott  was added to the injury report with a hyperextended toe and did not practice. Rookie WR Stephen Hill also did not participate due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win in Miami. Rex Ryan said on Monday that Hill's chances of facing the 49ers was "iffy." Both Scott and Hill rode the stationary bikes during the 20-minute portion allotted to the media

TE Dustin Keller (hamstring), LB Bryan Thomas (hamstring), S Eric Smith (hip/knee), FB John Conner (knee) and recently re-signed WR Patrick Turner (hamstring) will be limited.

NT Sione Po'uha (low back), CB Isaiah Trufant (ankle), CB Antonio Cromartie (shoulder), LB Nick Bellore (shoulder), QB Mark Sanchez (low back), C Nick Mangold (wrist), LB Calvin Pace (Achilles), DL Mike DeVito (calf), RG Brandon Moore (hip) and S LaRon Landry (Achilles, foot) are scheduled to practice fully.
