Jets fans can cross Matt Moore off their free-agency wish list.
The backup quarterback chose to re-sign with Miami, according to an NFL.com report Friday. And that means the already slim free-agent talent pool for QBs is dwindling.
Moore – who owns a 13-12 career record – threw just 19 passes (11 completions) as Ryan Tannehill’s backup in 2012. But despite his desires to be a starter, Moore ultimately chose to re-sign with Miami.
This is a weak year for QBs – both in free agency and the draft.
And without Moore as an option, the pickings for the Jets are slim.
And here are just a few:
Drew Stanton (well, you remember how THAT ended, don’t you?)…Brian Hoyer…Derek Anderson…Jason Campbell….Brady Quinn…Chase Daniel….Matt Leinart….Charlie Batch…Byron Leftwich….Vince Young…Kellen Clemens (ex-Jet)…Rex Grossman.
