Even though he was able to suit up for the first time after missing the previous two games, Darrelle Revis wasn't himself last night.

"No, no I wasn’t," the cornerback said after the Jets held off the Vikings 29-20 at New Meadowlands Stadium. "I’ve got to get back, I’ve got to get back. Actually, I’ve got to get back to 100 percent and when that happens I can play the type of high-profile ball that I play."

Revis said he felt soreness immediately in the first quarter and was still sore after the game. He was visibly frustrated.

"The trainers were checking up on me, making sure everything was OK with me," he said. "I was just fighting through it. If I knew I was going to be a hinderance to the team, then I would've called it quits."

Revis said he doesn't expect to have to get an MRI today, but isn't so sure that he'll be able to play against the Broncos in Denver on Sunday. Since they have a bye week coming up after Sunday's tilt in the Mile High City, the Jets could sit Revis down this week to give him more time to heal.

"I don’t know," Revis said when I asked him about possibly sitting out. "Right now, it's very sore and it's very swollen. Tomorrow we are going to do some things, and look at it even more, and discuss it and see where I stand at."

"This process is kind of frustrating because I’ve never been hurt during the season," he added. "I want to be out there so bad with my teammates and win games, but as of right now, I just need patience. I need to learn patience and get back to 100 percent."

As for not going up against Randy Moss -- that duty belonged to fellow cornerback Antonio Cromartie -- Revis just shrugged that off when I asked him if he was bothered he couldn't exact a measure of revenge.

"I’m not even thinking about Randy Moss right now," he said. "Cro did a great job today against him. Me and Cro always talk about bringing the best out of each other. I think from here on out and in the future, we’ve got two great Pro Bowl cornerbacks.

We joked on the field one time and I said now we are going to have to start flipping coins each week to see who gets the top receiver. Because he stepped up his game and he’s playing great. He did a great job. My assignment tonight was cover the guys I needed to cover and do the best I could."
