The Jets are expected to hire Rick Dennison to become their running game coordinator, according to ESPN.

Dennison, who has been an offensive coordinator in Buffalo, Denver and Houston, was the Bills’ offensive coordinator in 2017.

They finished 29th in total offense (302.6) but had the sixth-best rushing attack in the NFL at 126.1 yards per game. The Jets finished 19th at 106.4.

Dennison joins an offensive staff that is going through several changes, as the Jets parted with offensive coordinator John Morton and offensive line coach Steve Marshall. Quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates is expected to replace Morton.

The Jets interviewed former Lions quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan this week, but he reportedly will join the Raiders.
