That's because the Jets are getting gifts from every which direction today and could actually be in control of their own playoff destiny by the time they kick things off here from beautiful Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Jets came into today's action needing four things to happen -- besides them having to beat the Colts, of course -- in order for them to have the road to the playoffs open up at their feet, Jacksonville has to lose at New England (Pats are up 35-7), the Dolphins fall to the Texans (Houston is up 27-10) and have either Baltimore lose at Pittsburgh (it's tied at 20-20) or Denver lose to Philadelphia (game is at 4:15 p.m.)

Unbelievable that everything is falling the Jets' way so far. But remember, they still have to win here today to have their playoff fate in their hands. We'll have to wait and see how it all shakes down.

As for today's inactives, the Jets' are as follows: QB Kevin O'Connell, RB Chauncey Washington, LB Kenwin Cummings, G Matt Slauson, LB Marques Murrell, DE Ropati Pitoitua, and DT Howard Green.
