Rex Ryan won't be facing punishment from the NFL for his obscene gesture at a mixed martial arts event in Sunrise, Fla., on Saturday night.

Ryan was fined $50,000 by the Jets Tuesday for directing an obscene gesture at Miami resident David M. Hildenbrand, and the NFL has decided not to levy another fine on the Jets coach for his actions.

The league reviewed the incident under its personal conduct policy but was satisfied with the Jets' swift decision to fine Ryan, who apologized a day later. Commissioner Roger Goodell determined no further action was necessary.

Titans owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 for making a similar gesture to a Bills fan during a Titans game against Buffalo in Nashville in November.
