Free-agent wide receiver Chaz Schilens is visiting with the Tennessee Titans Wednesday, according to a CBS Sports.
The Titans recently signed former Jets Shonn Greene, Ropati Pitoitua and Rob Turner
Schilens has a disappointing 2012 season with the Jets, catching 28 passes for 289 yards in 15 games. The receiver nursed a groin injury during training camp and knee and hip injuries during the season.
Schilens wanted to return to the Jets, according to a source, but the Jets “haven’t been as open” to that arrangement.
The Jets receiving corps needs some help in 2013. Though Santonio Holmes (Lisfranc) and slot receiver Jeremy Kerley will be back, Dustin Keller (Mark Sanchez’s favorite weapon) is no longer here, so it’ll be imperative for former second-round pick, Stephen Hill, to step up his game and prove his case of the dropsies was just a rookie-year thing.
