With the lockout finally over, the Jets will finally get the chance to start assembling their roster for the 2011 campaign.

Suffice to say, Rex Ryan, GM Mike Tannenbaum and owner Woody Johnson have a lot of key decisions to make as the Jets prepare to open training camp in New Jersey on Sunday.

The Jets have a whoppping 18 free agents and there's no way they'll be able to keep them due to the $120 million salary cap. They are somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.2 million over the cap, and that of course is befeore they even attempt to re-sign anyone or ink any of their draft picks.

They can begin negotiating with any free agents -- their own and those on other teams -- tomorrow. However, no contracts can be signed before Friday, when full free agency starts. The waiver period is supposed to commence on Thursday and teams can also begin terminating contracts then.

In the meantime, the Jets will open the doors of their Florham Park, N.J. training facility to those who are under already contract first thing tomorrow. But it's only for conditioning, training and some classroom work.
