FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Second-year defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson was named the Curtis Martin Team MVP, the Jets announced Tuesday.
The award is voted on by the players.
Richardson, the 2013 Defensive Rookie of the Year, leads the team with seven sacks and also has 63 tackles.
Other Jets' award recipients included:
Dennis Byrd Award (for the most inspirational player) -- outside linebacker Calvin Pace
Kyle Clifton Award (for the locker room "Good Guy") -- tight end Zach Sudfeld
Bill Hampton (for the rookie who acts most like a professional) -- offensive lineman Dakota Dozier
Marty Lyons Award (for community service) -- cornerback Kyle Wilson
Ed Block Courage Award -- safety Rontez Miles
