The league finally took notice of Sheldon Richardson.
The Jets defensive tackle was named the league's Rookie of the Month for November.
Richardson's the first Jet to win a league Rookie of the Month honor since 2009, when quarterback Mark Sanchez received the honor for the first month of his Jets career. Richardson's also the first Jets defensive player to earn the award linebacker David Harris won it in 2007.
The rookie DT has 72 tackles (10 for loss), 22 quarterback hurries, three sacks, one pass defensed and a forced fumble. Richardson's also a key member of the Jets' front seven, which is tops in the league in run defense.
