Tim Tebow dismissed a report that he would seek a trade from the Jets this offseason if he’s not used more the final 15 games.
Tebow took nine snaps in last Sunday’s 48-28 win over the Bills. He carried the ball five times for 11 yards and didn’t attempt a pass. But the Jets’ offense was rolling with Mark Sanchez completing 19 of 27 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
Tebow tried to make a joke of the suggestion that he wouldn’t want to remain a Jet if his role didn’t increase.
“I find that pretty funny,” Tebow said. “It’s about as true as me living in Hoboken. I guess that’s just part of what you have to deal with – rumors and stuff like that. I don’t know. But I can say I love being here as a Jet. I’m thankful for it. I want to be here for a long time. I guess you just got to put up with stuff like that.”
