With a presidential election less than two weeks away, lots of folks in America are paying close attention to the polls. But not Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow – at least, not to the Sports Illustrated poll that named him the NFL’s most overrated player with 34 percent of the vote by players.

“It really doesn’t bother me too much,” Tebow said on Friday. “The same players, this past offseason, voted me in the top 100. I guess there’s several ways you can look at it. They’re probably getting a little sick of hearing the talk and everything [the media] has to say.”

The ever-smiling Tebow can take heart from one thing – he might be No. 2 on the depth chart behind Jets starter Mark Sanchez, but Sanchez was No. 2 in the SI poll. Hey, bragging rights.
