Titan quarterback Jake Locker, in his first full year as a starter, hasn’t thrown an interception in his first three games. He also engineered a dramatic game-winning drive near the end of the team’s Week 3 win over San Diego.

Titans coach Mike Munchak, on his conference call Wednesday with Jets reporters, was clearly pleased with the way his young quarterback has responded under pressure.

Said Munchak: “He’s come a long way. This is his first year really to be the starter for the whole offseason, going through training camp and having a lot behind him from last year. Last year he got injured in the opening game…..This is really his first year being the guy. I think he’s making good decisions. The first couple of games, we ran the ball a lot more. He’s been making good decisions with the ball. He can run himself he’s pretty active that way.

“I thought last week it came together for him. He moved in the pocket well. He threw on the run quite a few times. He actually ran quite a few times. He passed for about 300 yards himself. He took us on a two-minute drive at the end with no timeouts. We went the length of the field. All that is good stuff for a young quarterback. Each game, he has gotten better.”
