Call today getaway day -- for the writers.

The Jets have two practices again today, the last time we'll see these guys before they break camp for a couple of days to take on the Giants in Monday's preseason opener at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

First practice is underway at the moment and the second is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

For those wondering, the Jets return to Cortland for practice next Wednesday and Thursday before breaking again and heading back down to Florham Park, N.J. for good to prepare for the 2010 campaign.

Now, about those links:

-- Veteran FB Tony Richardson isn't thinking about retirement and has no problems helping his eventual replacement.

-- NT Kris Jenkins didn't want to get into the verbal spat with the Giants.
