The Jets announced the signing Wednesday.
In light of Santonio Holmes’ injury, the Jets are expected to pick up another receiver – and it’s not Plaxico Burress.
The team is expected to sign wideout Jason Hill, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to multiple outlets.
He was drafted by San Francisco in the third round of the 2007 draft, but was released in 2010. Hill played for the Jaguars last season, registering 25 catches for 367 yards and three touchdowns. But Jets fans may remember the receiver for a far different reason – Hill called Revis “overhyped” before the Jets’ Week 2 matchup with Jacksonville last year.
Hill, as some of you may recall, didn’t play.
The 27-year-old was waived by the Jaguars in November and was picked up by Denver in February. He was released at the end of training camp this year.
