Bilal Powell is expected to miss this week’s game in Foxboro, according to multiple reports, after an MRI revealed he suffered a separated shoulder in Sunday’s win over the Colts. The second-year back, who confirmed the injury in the locker room, had his right arm in a sling.

Joe McKnight’s status for the Patriots game remains up in the air after he suffered an ankle injury on his 61-yard third-quarter run Sunday. The injury reportedly is a high ankle sprain and could potentially sideline McKnight for a few weeks.

Bilal Powell's right arm still is in a sling, but the running back said he has yet to hear the results of his MRI.

The second-year back suffered a dislocated shoulder during Sunday’s 35-9 win over the Colts, but said today: “I don’t know anything about the injury as far as the MRI.”

Powell is unsure when he’ll return to action, adding that he “hopefully” will find out more information from the trainers on Tuesday.

The running back, who had four carries for 14 yards before his third-quarter injury, said he’s “not at all” frustrated by the injury.

“I’m just going to take it day to day, get in the training room and get better,” he said.

Powell also added that it felt good to see the Jets running game explode for 252 yards (compared with the Colts’ 41).

“Man, it was good,” he said. “I knew we would get it going. Hopefully we can continue to keep it going. Shonn (Greene) did a tremendous job, offensive line did a tremendous job (Sunday).”

In other injury news: TE Dustin Keller who played in his first game since Week 1, said his hamstring “held up great. No problems,” he added. “Good to go for the next week.”

….Clyde Gates was without his sling Monday. The wide receiver, who also suffered a dislocated shoulder in last week’s loss to Houston, said his arm feels “way better” and expects to practice Wednesday.

Safety Eric Smith (knee sprain) wouldn’t discuss his injury or his status for Sunday’s game in New England.

RB Joe McKnight (ankle) also was scheduled for an MRI Monday. He was not in the locker room and coach Rex Ryan said he didn’t have a medical update.
