Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, whose status for Sunday's game against Houston has been described as a gametime decision by coach Rex Ryan, was not on the field Thursday during the 30-minute portion of practice that reporters are allowed to observe.
Cotchery, who also missed practice Wednesday, suffered a torn groin during last Sunday's game in Cleveland. Yesterday, Ryan said, "I'm not saying he's not going to play. He truly is a 'Let's wait and see what happens.'"
Also of note, left guard Matt Slauson (knee) and safety Eric Smith (ankle) returned after sitting out Wednesday. Cornerback Dwight Lowery (concussion) again was not on the field.
