Indianapolis – Broncos coach John Fox says he wants to have four quarterbacks in training camp this year, but that’s no knock on Tim Tebow.
“At the end of the day, we’re very comfortable with Tim,” Fox said. “He did turn us from a 4-12 team to a playoff team … Typically we go to camp with four quarterbacks. If you do the math, we have two, so that means we need two more. That can come from a lot of varieties of areas. All we’re trying to do is find the best human talent we can that we think fits what we believe to be a championship football team with the Denver Broncos.”
Fox also said he wasn’t worried about any problems stemming from some critical remarks by Brady Quinn about Tebow after the backup quarterback suggested Tebow might not be as humble as people think
“I know their relationship,” Fox said. “I know [Quinn] was a great teammate and I know Tim knows that. We still like Brady Quinn.”
Fox was heartened by last year’s playoff run last year, but he says that’s not the ultimate goal.
“We only took a step,” he said. “We’re not done yet. It’s not as big a step as we want.”
