Bengals coach Marvin Lewis loves what he sees so far out of first-round wide receiver A.J. Green.
"He showed his physical prowess out there today," Lewis said after an early training camp practice.
The Bengals had Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, both of whom have more than 10,000 career receiving yards, on last year's roster. But Lewis thinks Green is better than both.
"He's an upgrade," Lewis said, per Bengals.com. "We're improved athletically."
Lewis was particularly impressed by one of Green's catches over safety Chris Crocker, in which the 6-4 rookie leaped to get the ball. Green and rookie quarterback Andy Dalton also connected on a long pass down the right sideline that Green caught in strike.
"He's in the upper echelon," Crocker said of Green.
