A few weeks back, some Broncos fans paid to have billboards placed in the Denver area promoting the idea of starting Tim Tebow at quarterback. The billboards eventually came down, but now that the Broncos are 1-2 and quarterback Kyle Orton is struggling, they're back up.
But don't expect head coach John Fox to be paying much attention.
"I'm sure there's a lot of billboards," Fox said yesterday when asked about them, per Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post. "I just don't get downtown much."
But if Orton continues his struggles, rest assured a growing number of Broncos fans will be pushing the coach to get a better look at Tebow, the 2010 first-round pick of former Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels. And they want to see Tebow playing quarterback, not receiver, as he has a handful of times this season.
