On Tuesday, the Redskins suspended disgruntled defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth for the remainder of the season for conduct detrimental to the team.
Two days later, another Redskins' free agent defensive tackle flop was sacked. Dana Stubblefield, once a premier tackle who starred for the 49ers before bombing with the Redskins starting in 1998, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for stealing his girlfriend's mail.
You can't make this stuff up, people.
Earlier this year, Stubblefield admitted he submitted a change of address form so his former girlfriend's mail, including her unemployment checks, would be delivered to his residence. A federal judge in San Francisco sentenced him to three months in the slammer.
Stubblefield was put on probation in 2009 after pleading guilty to lying to investigators about his steroid use during his career.
