Stanley Wilson (May 15, 1989):Bengals FB banned from the NFL for life for cocaine abuse. Wilson previously had been suspended for the entirety of the 1985 and 1987 seasons for testing positive for cocaine.
Dexter Manley (Dec. 21, 1991):Redskins DE suspended for substance abuse. Also suspended for life in 1989 for substance abuse; reinstated after one year.
Ray Rice (Sept. 8, 2014):Ravens RB suspended indefinitely after video surfaced of him striking and knocking out his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer. Rice already was serving a two-game suspension for the incident.
Michael Vick (Aug. 26, 2007):Falcons QB suspended after pleading guilty to his involvement in a dogfighting ring. Vick served 19 months in prison and was later reinstated in July 2009.
Adam Jones (May 17, 2007):Titans CB suspended for various violations of the league's personal conduct policy.

Josh Gordon (Feb. 3, 2015):Browns WR suspended for violating the league's substance-abuse program. Gordon was suspended for the first 10 games of the 2014 season and also served a two-game suspension in 2013, both for drug violations.
Greg Hardy (April 22, 2015): Cowboys DE suspended for conduct detrimental to the league. The decision came following a two-month investigation into Hardy's domestic violence incident involving his former girlfriend.
