Owners ratify CBA, players up next

NFL owners voted 31-0, with one abstention (the Raiders), to approve a 10-year collective bargaining agreement with the players, a decision that could ultimately lead to the resumption of the sport after a lockout that has lasted more than four months.

There is an 8 p.m. conference call scheduled with each team's player representatives, and it is expected that the players will also approve the deal. However, before the lockout can officially end, the players must recertify as a union, a process that could take a matter of days.
