Pats make nice with Moss in advance of Sunday's game

Don’t look for the Patriots to provide any bulletin board material for Randy Moss as the Vikings’ newest/oldest receiver prepares to visit Foxboro for the first time since being traded.
The Patriots are saying all the right things in advance of Sunday’s game.

“He’s a good guy, a great teammate, and hopefully it’ll be a fun game,’’ Patriots linebackerJerod Mayo said, per the Boston Globe. Mayo said he’ll speak with moss, but only after the game. “During the game, it’s all about business, and that’s how I’m approaching this game,” he said.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he has exchanged text messages with Moss since the trade, but also won’t talk to Moss until afterward.

“Probably after the game,’’ Brady said on WEEI on Monday. “That’s how I like to do it. I see guys after the game. Getting ready to play a game, not the best to talk and hang out and b.s. I’ll wish him luck maybe if I see him, but I will certainly say hi to him after the game.’’

Said Patriots owner Robert Kraft: “He created a certain buzz and electricity in our locker room. He was special and unique. He made many great contributions to the Patriots. You think of the ’07 season, which was really remarkable. Unfortunately, we didn’t win a championship, but we accomplished something very special and he was a big part of that. He and [Brady] broke the record for quarterback-receiver touchdowns, so he’s a great player.”
