Well, that didn't take long.
Just five weeks into the season, the Raiders have released quarterback Matt Flynn, who was thought to have the inside track on the team's starting position when they traded for him in the off-season.
The Raiders dealt a fifth-round pick in 2014 and a conditional pick in 2015 to the Seahawks for Flynn, but he eventually fell out of favor with the coaching staff and lost out on the starting job to Terrelle Pryor.
It's a similar scenario Flynn experienced last year, when he signed a fre- agent deal with the Seahawks but lost the starting job to Russell Wilson, who emerged last year as a star quarterback.
Prior returned to the lineup after a one-game absence due to a concussion and led the Raiders to a 27-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday night.
