With Rex Ryan trying to put his best face on the Darrelle Revis holdout, suggesting that the Jets have everything they need on defense even if the All Pro cornerback doesn't sign a contract, former Jets safety Kerry Rhodes weighed in on the issue from Cardinals training camp in Flagstaff, Ariz.

"I wanna comment on the Revis and Jets thing so bad with all the talk about them not being concerned and don't feel sorry with them they will be fine statements and they got all they need already there!" Rhodes said on his Twitter account. "It's funny."

Rhodes was a never a favorite of Ryan and the Jets' defensive coaching staff, and was briefly benched midway through the season. Rhodes was then traded to the Cardinals, where he was reunited with former Jets defensive backs coach Donnie Henderson.

Ryan is attempting to get his team not to dwell on the Revis holdout.

"Don't feel sorry for us," he said today. "We have everything we need here on defense. The addition of [Antonio] Cromartie was enormous for this football team. And the fact that we drafted Kyle Wilson, who's an outstanding player. That helps us a great deal."

"Right now, I'm just going to focus on the people that are here," Ryan said. "My mindset has to be on these guys that are here right now. Those are the guys that are going to play."
