Saints get the Presidential treatment

A Super Bowl championship is never truly official until the winning team visits the White House.

The Saints got their trip today, as they were feted by President Barack Obama in an East Room ceremony. Obama congratulated the players, team owner Tom Benson and the coaches and said the team "lifted up the hopes and dreams of a shattered city" in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The Saints, who gave Obama a No. 44 jersey with his name on the back (because he is the 44th President), beat the Colts 31-17 last February in south Florida.
