Amani Toomer: If Patriots don't win, they will hurt legacy

I just got back from shooting a video of former Giants receiver Amani Toomer. The video will come at some point today or tomorrow for your viewing pleasure.

I wanted to write this post because he had something very interesting things to say about the Patriots. I asked him if the Patriots lose to the Giants again, does it hurt the legacy of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick? Toomer said yes because the Pats have yet to win a Super Bowl following the "Spygate" incident a few years ago at the Meadowlands involving the Jets.

People will start o question Belichick and the Patriots if they cannot deliver a championship post "Spygate," according to Toomer. Plus, losing to the same team twice in four years will hurt.

Toomer also spoke about Victor Cruz, Tom Coughlin and the differences between the 2007 and 2011 Giants.

Today is shaping up to be the busiest day of the week. It's the last day for player availability. The Patriots are meeting with the media now and the Giants will have their turn at 10:15, which I will leave for shortly.

At noon, there is an event with Michael Strahan, which I will try and shoot video of. At 2 p.m., Madonna addresses the media and it seems like everyone I've talked to is going. Yes, even many sportswriters. Come on, it's Madonna!

After that, I will stalk Radio Row for some more raw iPhone videos. Yesterday, former Ravens coach Brian Billick promised me a few minutes to shoot an iPhone video. We will see if he makes good on that promise today.

Check back later on for the Toomer video and more updates.
