Tomlinson is arguably the best running back of his generation. He spent most of his career with the San Diego Chargers before coming to the Jets in 2010. He rushed for more 1,200 yards and caught more than 50 receptions in each of his first seven seasons in the NFL. In 2006, he set the record for most touchdowns in a season with 31, on his way to winning league MVP.

Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson isn't sure when he will decide to call it a career, but he said he's not thinking about his future prospects just yet.

"I take every day like it’s my last, and I just try to stay focused on that particular day and not think too much down the future," said the 32-year-old running back. "It doesn’t help any to think long-term and think as far as the future is concerned. I just think it’s best to focus on now."

Tomlinson is unsigned after this season. He's making $1.125 million in 2011.
