Girls Bowlers to Watch

Britt Arne, Patchogue-Medford, Sr. — Arne is off to a strong start with a 229.5 average through nine games. She led Suffolk with an 805 high series last year.

Renee Clark, Comsewogue, Sr. — Clark’s rarely leaves an open frame and can string strikes together. She has a 214 average through 12 games and a high series of 723.

Alissa Fontana, Sachem, Jr. — Fontana’s intensity has helped her to a 211.1 average through nine games and a high series of 743.

Diamond Hunter, Copiague, Sr. — The lefthander has impressed early this season with 215 average through 12 games and a high series of 708.

Carly Licht, Bethpage, Sr. — Licht led Bethpage with a 204 average last season on the way to the program’s first county championship.

Olivia Lopera, East Islip, Sr. — Lopera has a 222.9 average through her first 12 games. She set the single-season record with a 228.30 last year.

Vicky Loucks, Kellenberg, Sr. — Loucks helped clinch the CHSAA championship last season by bowling a 185 in Game 2 of a 515 series.

Lyndsay Mavrich, East Islip, Sr. — Mavrich brings experience and skill to East Islip. She has a 219.1 average through 12 games and a high series of 749.

Amanda Naujokas, Sachem, 8th grade — Naujokas is young, but can deliver on the big stage. The Seneca Middle School standout has a 216.3 average through nine games.

Mackenzie Wagner, Syosset, Jr. — Wagner sees the game well and has the ability to make in-game adjustments. She is poised to improve on her sophomore year.
